About me
Suhan Y. Lorentz is a Turkish-American with a love for all things fantastical. Like a good first-born daughter of immigrant parents, she took a career in healthcare, but her passion for writing only grew stronger over the years.
Suhan participates in short-story contests and attends writers’ conferences. Beta readers have described her works as engaging and conversational with immersive worlds and excellent dialogue. Suhan writes primarily fantasy fiction with a subplot of romance as she is a sucker for a love story. She has completed her manuscript for her adult fantasy novel, “The Last Leaves.”
When she is not working, Suhan can be found spending time with her husband, their two cats, and their English bulldog. She enjoys getting lost in a good book, painting dragons, going on walks with her friends, and playing TTRPGs.

Summary
In the market town of Sidda, magic bleeds into the Mortal Realm from realms adjacent. Lynne, a young woman with the innate ability to channel power from the Fae, is often regarded as a thieving heretic. It is believed that this power should remain within the Faerie Realm, not in the hands of mere mortals. Displaced as a child when her village was attacked, Lynne suppresses her use of this magic to live a peaceful life with the family who adopted her. Though she has the power to control the elements and alter people’s emotions, Lynne instead serves as an apothecary. When an unexpected summons to live at Sidda’s noble estate, Whitehaven, yanks Lynne and her guardian family away from the comfort of their life, Lynne is faced with a destabilizing family secret: Margau, the girl she loves as her own sister, is not entirely of this realm. Mixed inside her human blood is something sinister, unyielding, and waiting to be released. Until Margau can control her powers bestowed upon her from the Darkness Realm, she is bound to destroy those around her. Lynne is forced to acknowledge her heritage to save her sister from losing herself, all the while gaining the attention and tutelage from an unlikely mentor.
